For travelers departing from Ottawa International Airport, these new routes are a game-changer.
“We’re thrilled to see such a significant expansion of Porter’s winter schedule, bringing even more sun destinations within easy reach for our community,” says Susan Margles, President and CEO, Ottawa International Airport Authority.

“These added flights mean more choice, more convenience and more opportunities for Ottawa-Gatineau passengers to escape the cold and enjoy some well-deserved warmth next winter,” adds Margles. “Grand Cayman and Costa Rica are brand new destinations for YOW, making the announcement even more exciting.”
Good News for Canadian Travellers
The Nassau routes will launch first, with daily flights from Toronto, followed by new routes from Ottawa on December 13 and Hamilton on December 14. For those dreaming of Grand Cayman’s famous Seven Mile Beach, flights from Toronto Pearson launch on December 16, 2025, and will operate as often as three times weekly. Non-stop service to Grand Cayman from Ottawa will launch on December 19, 2025.
“This is a significant development for anyone who wants to fly with Porter to more places and experience our award-winning service that focuses on making flying enjoyable for economy travellers,” says Kevin Jackson, President of Porter Airlines.
All Caribbean routes will utilize Porter’s Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which the airline describes as the quietest and most fuel-efficient single-aisle aircraft in its class. Passengers will travel in style with Porter’s elevated economy experience onboard the 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. Best of all, with a two-by-two configuration (yup, there are no middle seats on any Porter flight).
Travel in Style… and in Comfort
The airline’s commitment to passenger comfort extends beyond seating. Complimentary Canadian premium snacks, along with free beer and wine that are actually served in glassware, are all included with your airfare. You’ll also enjoy free fast Wi-Fi with speeds fast enough to handle those movies you’ve been saving up.

For Porter’s loyalty program members, these new routes offer additional value. VIPorter members can redeem their points for travel on Porter and Air Transat flights to sun markets for as low as 10,000 points one way, providing even more schedule flexibility when planning their Caribbean getaways.
The bottom line? Winter-weary Canadians can now look forward to easier access to Caribbean sunshine, with Porter’s refined service making the journey as pleasant as the destination.
